Cooper the Detective
It was a day like no other but today was a puppy’s birthday. That puppy’s name was Lilly. But then the problem started when Lilly’s mom hired a clown to blow up balloons and make balloon animals for Lilly’s friends. Suddenly the lights went out and everyone heard a scream. When the lights got back on Lilly was gone! Somebody had taken her but whom? Everyone was still there except for 5 people. The first 4 were Lilly’s friends Rainbow the bunny, Princess the white terrier, Mr.Ribit the bull frog, and finally from her friends there was Mia the love puppy. But the weirdest part was that the clown was missing too? Then I suddenly hear the phone ringing in my office. It was Lilly’s mother. “Please help Cooper please my daughter has been taken away. But I don’t know who took her. I am begging you help us!!” she yelled as she was also very scared about her daughter.” OK I will come but be ready to answer a few questions when I get there.” So I skedaddled on down. When I got there I told Lilly’s mom, Mrs. Anny, “I have to investigate the house, if that’s ok with you.” She replied with a nod. The first place I wanted to go was in Lilly’s room. Make that the only place I wanted to go. I had to get something that I could track her down with. I couldn’t find anything so I needed some clues. I went back to Mrs. Anny and said “Could you tell me who was missing after the accident?” She stared to tell me the five people. Instantly I knew it was the clown. “Thank you. I will find your daughter no matter what.” I dashed to the clown’s house. “KNOCK KNOCK!” I knocked on the door.” Hello, how may I help you sir?” the clown said when he answered the door.” Hello, I am Cooper. Where were you today at around 4?” I asked with a suspicious look on my face.” I was at a puppy’s birthday party, but I left early because I was scared of the dark.” I still had some more questions. “Did you hear a scream when you left?” I asked. “Well yes, I had no idea who screamed so I just left. It was a normal reaction.” I had no more questions but it wasn’t a normal reaction. I still suspected him. “On to suspect 2.” I said in my head. “Ding Dong” I rang the doorbell of a beautiful and lovely home. But it was under ground. So as you probably thought it was Rainbow the bunny. She hoped to the door.” Hi. Is there a problem?” she muttered when she answered the door. “Hi, I am Cooper the dog. I have a few questions for you.” I quietly told her.” Were you at Lilly’s birthday party today around 4?” “Yes, I was but I got scared so I left. Is she ok?” She answered with fright. “I am not sure if she is alright but I hope so.” It wasn’t her it couldn’t be. So time for suspect 3.” Bing Bong!!” I rang the doorbell again. It was Princess the white terrier. “Listen up I am not going to repeat myself this is important. Were you at Lilly’s birthday party today around 4?” I asked her in a very fast voice.” Yes I was. By the way Lilly was captured by somebody. I was just about to call you.” She explained. It wasn’t her either. I knew it wasn’t her because why would she report that Lilly was missing if she was the one who took her?I only had 3 more suspects left. Number three. I went to the Lilly Pond that was the home of Mr. Ribit the bull frog.”Slish splash” was the sound of his door bell.” Umm… hi?” Mr. Ribit said in a confused voice. “May I help you?” “Hello, as you should know I am Cooper the dog. Were you at Lilly’s birthday party today around 4?”I asked. “Well, um, yes I, I was.” He said in a nervous voice.” That’s everything I wanted to ask. It could’ve been Mr. Ribit I mean he was so nervous? But I still 1 more person left. But lucky for me I ran into Mia and love puppy when I was going to her home.” HI I am cooper the dog. I was just going to your house. I had a question for you.” I told her as she almost past by. “Ok. But first I need to report a crime. My friend Lilly was captured today at her party but I don’t know who took her.” She said while worrying. “Umm... sorry but I don’t have to ask you anything now.”So there was only 1 person who acted funny and nervous the frog! “Splish Splash” I rang Mr. Ribit’s door bell. “You again?” he said when He opened the door. “Yes now why did you take Lilly on her birthday?” I asked in a very serious way. “Well… it was because she was getting all the attention and nobody paid attention to me. Lilly and I are having some cake right now.” He instantly said. “But you do know that it wasn’t good right and that it was her birthday and it was her day to shine. Promise you won’t do it again?’ I told him. “Yeah, would you like to have some cake with us?” He asked. “Sure.”
From that day on Mr. Ribit never was jealous about things like that. Also I never got a case like that again and hopefully I won’t ever.
