A Stroke of Genius

Perhaps this is the end, or is it the end of the end meaning that something is about to begin?
If so, then the end is not something to fear, but rather, something to celebrate as it heralds the arrival of the next phase. The following chapter. The post-script. The second page. The last page? The lost page? That which has not occured and shalt ne'er again. Unless of course it IS the end... The ACTUAL end, and all that could be after is to be granted nothing. No chances and no new beginnings.
Whilst the expression remains intact and obsolete all at the same time. Poetic and coarse, like a razor that glides so smoothly just to cut at the last second, leaving a savage reminder of its presence.
Perhaps this is the middle? neither poignant or significant at all. The mediocre of the ages, the colour of which is beige. A nothing kind of colour which can, in a paradoxical way, can only be described as being in-describable.
If it truly is not the end, and not the beginning, and it is the middle, surely that is a fate worse than all?
