"Pow, Pow, Pow!!!" came a sound from downstairs. "Hey, did you hear that?" whispered eight-year-old Payton. "What?" asked nine-year-old Alyssa. "I think it was a gun shot," answered Payton. "A gun shot?" asked nine-year-old Katie alarmed. "Huh? What are you guys talking about?" "Ugghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh," came a groan from across the room. "Please stop arguing, I am trying to sleep you know!" said eight-year-old Xena, with an additude. "Well, sorrrrrrrrry, we didn't mean to wake up miss grumpy," said Payton. "Whatever, you, you, you BRAT!!!" exclaimed Xena. "Guys, guys, please don't argue," said Alyssa with an authority. " I think one of us should, um... check it out," said Payton. "something serious could of happened," Alyssa volunteered, "I guess I'll do it, since it's my house and all." Xena jumped up ready for a fight, " Why should you get to do it, maybe I wanted to!!!" Katie Gasped. "let's not---," she began. Xena intturupted her, " Well?" Paytons mouth dropped. "Fine you do it!!!" said Alyssa ready to cry. As Xena headed for the door, payton burst out, "Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha." Xena slammed the door on her way out.

"The nerve of them!" thought Xena to herself, as she slipped down the stairs. "Please don't." a lady whispered. Xena stalked past the living room. "Please I'll do anything." the lady said. Xena found a corner, where she could see in the kitchen, she stood there, watching. "What are you gonna gain from killing me?" the lady asked. "you already killed my husband, you said thats all you wanted, why me?" Xena gasped. " I don't care," the killer said. "you'll tell someone, I'm sure, so your as good as dead." Xena was getting ready to leave, when someone, who she knew, entered the kitchen, from outside. "Hey, the husband dead yet?" asked the person. "Yep, look on the floor, see dead," said the killer his eyes shining. "Well, then, let's go." the person said, my husband's in the car waiting. "Okay, I gotta kill his wife though, because she saw the whole thing." the killer said. "Please don't." the lady said one more time. "Your right, you gotta kill her, hey do they have kids?" the person asked. "I don't know, do you lady?" the killer asked. "NO!" she shouted, you can't have them. "Fine, we'll let them be," the person said. "Okay, I'll set the scene, like the husband killed the wife, then killed himself, that sound just about right?" asked the killer. "Sure, I'll take the wife, drown her, bring her back. okay? Be ready." the person said. Xena slipped back upstairs she was in tears.

"I bet it wasn't even a gun shot, just my parent arguing again." Alyssa thought to herself aloud. "Probably," reassured Payton and Katie. Xena walked in. "It was just your parents arguing, they told me to come back up here, and tell you guys everything is going to be alright." she said as she strolled over to her sleeping bag, which was next to Katie's. "Plus, I'm also sorry, for, you know, being mean to you guys earlier, I was just a little grumpy." admitted Xena. "That's okay I forgive you," said Alyssa. "Me too," agreed Payton. "Me three," said Katie. Eventually everyone fell asleep, two hours later.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!" screamed Alyssa. She was going to surprise her friends and parents by making them pancakes, but as she walked into the kitchen, she found both her parents on the kitchen floor. Her mom's clothes were drenched, which indicated that she had been drowned first, then shot. Her mom was sprawled, leaning against the counter, dead. Her dad was on the oppisite end of the counter, leaing against it, sitting up, not drenched, a gun pointed at his head, one shot was visible, on his head, he also, was dead. "Their fight must of got pretty bad last night," Alyssa thought to herself. She was still in her pajamas, suddenly she heard footsteps. soon, one by one her three friends entered the kitchen and gasped. Well, two of them at least, Xena on the other hand was not surprised. "Oh no, that must be why Xena was real shaken up when she came back, she must of seen something really scary and just didn't want to tell us." Alyssa thought to herself. "We need to call 9-1-1," said Katie. "I know I can't find the phone." Alyssa said. "Here it is," said Xena, producing one from her left hand, which was shaking really bad, as she handed it to Alyssa.

"So, does any of you know what happened here?" asked a nice policeman. "Well..." began Alyssa. "Start from the begining," said the police man. "It all started when..." began Alysaa. "Keep going." he said. "Payton you can start first," Alyssa said. "No," the police said, "Better yet I'll just take all four of you to the station to get four different points of view, okay?"

Alyssa went first, "I was sleeping when, Payton woke me up, because, she heard a couple of gun shots. A couple of minutes later, Xena decided she would go check it out, after lots of arguing, of course. We all worried, while she checked it out. An hour later she came back, and said it was just my parents arguing. We fell asleep, in the morning, I got up early, because I wanted to surprise my friends and parents with pancakes. When I came in the kitchen, I found them here. So I called you guys, and well, here we are.

Payton went next, " I was trying to sleep, when, I heard gun shots, so I woke up Alyssa. Soon everyone else was up and arguing. We soon came to the decision that Xena would go downstairs. When she came back she said it was just Alyssa's parents arguing. We went to sleep, we awoke to the sound of Alyssa's screaming, so we went downstairs, called you, and here we are."

Katie went next, "Payton woke us up, xena went downstairs, we went to sleep, then, well, we woke to Alyssa's screams, and now here we are."

Lastly was Xena, "First Payton woke us up. Then I went downstairs, found her parents arguing, came back upstairs, went to sleep, and then Alyssa woke us up with her screams and so here we are."

"Is that all you guys have to say?" said the policeman. "Okay well that's not much to go on, but you guys tried, heres my card, if you remember anything, that might be useful." he said as he handed them his card. "Thank you," Alyssa said. "But where am I supposed to live?" she asked as she fingered his card. "Well you have three friends, ask one of them," he said as he walked away.

"Thanks for letting me stay with you Xena," said Alyssa as she jumped on Xena's bed. "Your welcome, and please stop jumping on my bed, also what was that policeman's name anyways?" asked Xena. "I think I should have his number too, just in case I remember anything." suggested Xena. "You know what, you have it you might need it more than me," said Alyssa. "Does she know?" wondered Xena, then said aloud. "Oh Alyssa! I almost forgot, today is my brother's birthday, so my whole family is coming and everything, so you'll get to meet everyone."

"This is my grandpa, Dnoubeu Ardd, " said Xena, then whispered, "he's my favorite." Alyssa laughed a little. "This is my grandma, Lounan Ardd," said Xena, "she's also my favorite." Alyssa smiled at her grandma liking her instantly. This is my aunt, Volvo Demetriou, and this is my uncle, Tololyu Demetriou." They both looked her over, before they smiled at Alyssa, making her uncomfortable. "Finnaly this is my dad, Pvoubpy demetriou, and this is my mom, Juno Demetriou. the coolest peoplehere, and this is the birthday boy, who is turning six today, Oxot Demetriou."said Xena breathless. "Everyone, please come to the table," said Juno, Xena's mom. There were nine seats ready, on one end, oxot the birthday boy sat, on the other side Pvoubpy, Xena's dad. The two people who sat beside Oxot were Xena and Juno. Beside Xena was Alyssa, beside juno was Lounan. Beside Alyssa was Tololyu, and besides her was Volvo. beside Lounan was Dnoubeu. they all sat happily and ate.

"Ding dong!" rang the doorbell. Alyssa was already done with her food, so she jumped up to answer it. As she opened teh door she said, " Hi police man guy, what's your name agaian?" The Policeman answered "It's Mike Brown, and I need you to come with me for a while." Alyssa started to yell something to Xena's family that she would be gone for a while, when Mark put a hand over her mouth. "Wait, I'm taking you somewhere for you to see real quick they won't even know your gone, okay?" he asked. "Alright just real quick, what is it?" she asked. "It's in my car, let's go." he said. Alyssa slipped in the car, looking for what Mark was talking about, thinking how she should get to her dinner. Mark slipped in right beside her, "Let's go Buddy," he said to the driver. "Huh?" asked Alyssa. "I'm a fake policeman Alyssa, Me, and Buddy, are kidnapping you." said Mark, producing a fake, evil laugh.

"I wonder what's taking Alyssa so long." said Xena, "I'm gonna check on her," As Xena walked to the door there was no Alyssa in sight. But there was a note, it was taped on the door, so she took it off the door and read it. "MOM! DAD! GRANDPA! GRANDMA! AUNT! UNCLE! BROTHER! GET IN HERE RIGHT NOW! ALYSSA HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED BY A GUY WHO PRETENDED TO BE A POILCE!!! HE WANTS $1,000,000 RANSOM MONEY! THAT'S ONE MILLON DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Xena's family ran to the door and her mom, Juno read the note. "Hello people, I tricked Xena and Alyssa and their two other friends into thinking I was a real policeman, but guess what, I'm not!!!! HAHAHA! This has Nothing to do with the fact that Alyssa's parents were killed, I was going to kidnap her anyways, so hahahahahaha! Now YOU owe me the ransom money!!!!!!! HAHAHAHA!!! Ransom is one millon dollars or $1,000,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also I hate chinese people and yall are chinese, so I was doing Alyssa a favor by kidnapping her anyways. I'll pick up ransom money tommorrow at 3:00 pm, do not call police or I will kill Alyssa, and I'm not jokin!!!"

Back in the car: "How did you fake all that?" asked Alyssa. "Well, I was coming to kidnap you, when I looked through your kitchen window, and saw you call the police, so I hooked my phone up, and pretended police, then came in there, and faked the station and everything, you see, my friend buddy used to be a police, so yeah, it was so easy!" he bragged. "Oh." was all Alyssa could say. "So no real polce will check ou the place or anything?" she asked hopefully. "No. unfortunately, your house wil just have to rot! hahahah." he laughed. "Well, I won't struggle at all during this 'kidnapping' if you call the police and tell them there has been a murder at my house. Please." suggested Alyssa. "OKAY!" said Mark dialing the number.

"There was just a call from somebody saying there has been a murder, but won't say anything personal about them, we better get on it." said one police to another. "beep, beep, beep." rang the police car as it headed towards Alyssa's house. A policeman, named Sam Jack entered the house. "Ohhhhhhh! Gross!" he said covering his nose. he walked into the kitchen and started to investigate.

"OMG! This is so scary!" exclaimed Xena. Then she remembered last night, "Omg!" she thought. "This is probably because of her parents, getting killed. And someone, who is at my house now helped them die too! I can't beleive someone I know was involved in thus." Xena sighed, because she was kind of sad becaue of this. She grudgingly walked to her room. She lay on her bed remembering this was where she last was with Alyssa earlier, besides dinner. Alyssa had been jumping on her bed. "OH! " Xena remembered, " Alyssa gave me that fake cop's card, maybe that could help me somehow!" thought Xena as she pulled out the card, it read, "Mark brown,"

"Xena gave me a weird look today, it's as if she was watching my every move, that doesn't have anything to do with the fact that I helped kill that girl Alyssa's parents, does it? I hope not, what if somehow she saw us, do everything that we did! Oh my god! I must contact the killer," Xena's relative thought. "She must know that's probably why i felt as if someone was watching, after I contact the killer, we must warn Xena not to tell anyone or else we'll kill Alyssa. That would be good since she was kidnapped for no reason today, unless the killer authorized it. I must call the killer and see!" Xena's relative slowly pulled ot their phone and dialed the number, glad he was alone in the kitchen. "Hey, killler I have news for you, but first did you order someone to kidnap Alyssa?" asked Xena's relative. "Hi accomplice, what's up, well duh! Of course I ordered the kidnapping. I felt someone watching us, It was that Xena girl, whom you are related to, so I had fake cops pretend to investigate. Then Mark, the fake cop, and his old police friend, buddy kidnap her. They are now on their way to the place she will be held hostage. Soon we will warn Xena if she tells anyone what she saw, we will kill Alyssa, how's that sound?" asked the killer. "Great, that's exactly what I was gonna say, but okay, I'll slip notes to Xena, I'll call you when I find out more info. beep." Xena walked up to her relative, "Hey, you know who kidnapped Alyssa, OMG! I heard youe whole conversation. Please don't kill Alyssa, I don't need warnings, I know where my place is, I won't tell anyone anything. How could you do this to my family!" Xena exclaimed, as she ran to her room.

"Okay, I know exactly what happened here now. The husband was killed first, then propped up, no prints, the wife was drowned first then shot, also propped up. This was a set-up to make it look like it as the husbands fault. Any onther cop would beleive this set-up, but not me, that's a good thing I guess." thought Sam to himself. "I guess I'll still take these prints in to check them out anyways." Sam walked towards the living room as the door rang, "Ding-dong!" Sam opened the door, "Yes?" he asked "Oh, hey Lisa, your here already! WOW! Now thats what I call fast." said Sam as he shut the door. Lisa was a clean-up lady, who, after a murder cleaned the whole place so that it doesn't stink and everything. Lisa got started, as Sam went to investigate the rest of the house, first he started in the living room, nothing there to investigate. In the parents room, there was an address book, nothing interesting, th rest of the room was pretty tidy, "They didn't get killled for robbery," he thought. As he strode down the hallway, he saw a set of stairs, so he walked up them, to the right at the landing was a bathroom, "no use going in there." he thought. To the left there was one last door, he opened it, "This must be Alyssa's room," he said judging by all the girly suff, there was only one bed, so he judged she must be an only child. he found nothing interesting in there, except a pink, furry diary in her pillow case, he opened it up and was getting ready to begin to read.

"Sam! GET DOWN HERE IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOW!" Lisa screamed. Sam appeared at the doorway of the kitchen, a pink book in his hands, "whats the matter Lisa," he asked. "Well, first of all, the husbands dead, but the wife she's alive, she needs to go to the hospital, immediately," said Lisa. "I was done here anyways," said Sam, slipping the diary in his pocket. "You lify her legs and I'll lift her arms," suggested Lisa. They carried her to the police car laid her in the backseat. Sam started the car up and drove to the hospital, with Lisa in the back with the woman. Once they got there they carried the woman inside, yelling as they ran, "We need a room immediately, and a free doctor, hurry this girl won't live for very long!"

Two hours later, the woman was breathing, she was fine and would live for a very long time, but she had to stay int the hospital for at least a week. The doctors allowed Sam and Lisa to question the woman though. "Lady, do you know what your name is?" Sam asked first. "My name is Kaitlyn Anderson," Kaitlyn answered. "Can you tell us what happened miss," asked Sam. "I was going to bed, my husband and I were arguing, like usual, and there was a knock at our kitchen door. He went to answer it, then I heard three distinct gun shots, so I ran to the kitchen. There was this guy standing over my husband with a gun, and I started to cry. He saw me, held me at gunpoint, an hour of begging he still wouldn't give in and not kill me, he just kept holding me at gunpoint. Ten minutes later one of my daughter Alyssa's friends, I think her name was Xena was watching, I think she was checking on the noise she watched, looking real scared not making a noise, hoping noone would find her. Shee was frozen in place, Guess. Anyways, another guy came in saying to the killer to hurry up, Xena gasped, it looked like she knew that person, then that guy who came In took me to the lake behind our house and tried to drown me, then he cam back and shot me in the head. I fell asleep then I woke up and here I am." said Kaitlyn. "Whoa, now that was a mouthfull, do you know any of the guys?" asked Lisa kindly. " No, but the one who killed my husband kept talking as if he knew Alex, which is my husband." answered Kaitlyn. A doctor came in telling Sam and Lisa to give Kaitlyn some time to rest.

"Where are you taking me? asked Alyssa. "Your going on a boat little girl, actually a cruise, where you will stay for one week, once the cruise is over we will let you go, okay?" said Buddy and Mark laughing. All three entered the ship, "We have the whole cruise to ourselves," said Mark. They entered their suites, as Alyssa entered hers, the door was locked behind her. "UGH!" thought Alyssa "now I'm stuck in here for a whole week. It was getting darker now, tommorrow at 3:00 pm ransom money should be given, then hopefully I'll be out of here" Alyssa layed down to sleep, it had been a long, long, long day.

"Lisa, the prints, came back no match, and also I have heard that Alyssa has been kidnapped, and I have a feeling, these people dont really want the one millon ransom money either, unfortunately, word got out that Alyssa's mom is alive, and I'm afraid she might get killed." said Sam. "OH MY GOD!" said Lisa as the news came on. "Today we have a live report that an Alyssa Anderson's Parent's have been killed in her own home, but it turns out that, her mom Kaitlyn Anderson, is in fact alive and well at the hospital. Also little Alyssa has been kidnapped for one liilon ransom momey. That is all for tinight," The lady on tv said. "We must protect Kaitlyn," said Lisa. "Already on it," said Sam. As he dialed some numbers.

"Hey killer, Kaitlyns still alive, and uh Xena got the message, what's your news?" said Xena's relative. "WHAT! Kill her! And thats good news, that Xena got the message, Alyssa's on a cruise right now, and I'm letting her go after the cruise is over in one week. beep." Xena's relative hung op the phone wondering how to kill Kaitlyn. He walked slowly to the hospital, darn. Protection was already there so he went home, knowing it was useless.

"Okay guys, we aren't gonna pay the ransom because we don't have the money, and I don't think money is what's on their mind as of right now anyways." said Xena sighing, knowing it was helpless. Her aunt and uncle were good people, she was pretty glad they weren't part of the murder. But to think of the person who actually helped was absurd!!! Her mom and dad, and of course her little brother didn't do it. I was between her grandma and grandpa, her two favorites, and one of them were crime committers. To think it was her grandma doing it, the coolest one of all too! She was a helper, she decided she would have a talk with her. "Grandma, please you can chang you don't have to be this way change for good instead of bad," suggested Xena. "Oh Xena, I've already gone too far now, it's too late to change now," Lounan Ardd said. "No it's not, you can correct this mistake," said Xena "please," Lounan considered this, "Okay you know what I should change, now I won't kill Kaitlyn, Alyssa's mom." Xena gasped. "Now let's sit down and I'll tell you everything, then we'll tell our family, even if I go to jail I'll know I at least tried to make it better.

"Man, I know I'm gonna get caught with this, why did I have to kill Alex? I mean seriuosly just because he found out my biggest secret doesn't mean anything right? Wrong." the killer thought. "my name isn't Jake Longwood for nothing. I mean he found out that I was stealing from the bank that we worked at." Jake told himself this was okay because Alex was going to go to their boss and tell, which would make him go to jail, but this would make it even worse. "Ugh I'm in a pickle," Jake thought to himself. "Tommorrow, I'm gonna turn myself in.

Xena and Lounan, had told their whole family and a news reporter, the story. Their story would air tonight on th 6:00 pm news. It was hard to believe just yesterday Alyssa had been killed. Xena called Sam and told him where Alyssa was, the story about Alyssa's house, where Mark and Buddy were, and where Jack was, so they were ready to go to jail. Sam arressted Mark, Buddy, Jack, and Lounan. Everyone was really surprised. Alyssa was rescued. Everyone was all happy. Xena, Alyssa, Payton, and Katie all stayed friends. Sam and Lisa ended up getting married. Everyone lived a pretty good life, their life had gone back to the way they were originally except Alyssa had no dad, and there was no more arguing.

Ten Years Sam got the diary out of his pocket of his jacket from a case Ten years ago and started to read.
Dear Diary,
This is a diary for me because I just wanna put all my thoughts and ideas into this. I am nine years old right now and my parents are always fighting about everything, I just wish they would stop, I'm gonna go now because my three best friends are having a sleepover here.
Sam Turned the page, it was empty, and he started to laugh.
